Good morning, Big E! Thanks for your post on wearables. Interestingly, back on June 26th I made the following comment in a post by Dr. Lyons-Weiler regarding RFKjrs seemingly supportive comments of everyone wearing wearables 24/7… “I’ve had a concern for some time about ‘smart’ watches like those that enable a wearer to check texts, receive a call, etc.

Dr. Lyons-Weiler, perhaps you can discuss here: We’ve been told that women who tuck their phones into their bras, men who tuck them into their back pockets, and wear them continually, are susceptible to cancer/tumor growth in those areas, and reduced fertility due to proximity of their devices near those vital organs. Okay, so with this line of concerned thinking, what does a small phone - i.e. a smart watch - do to a person’s health when that device is strapped over their radial artery? That artery is part of the network circulating blood to the hands, arm, heart, and essentially the rest of the body.”

Though my comment was well received by accumulating 8 likes in the comment section, it was completely ignored by the author. I had really hoped he would address my concern.

I stand by my concern and refuse to wear a ‘smart watch’ or other wearable, I leave my phone at home whenever possible, completely turning it off at night and in another room. Though I’m not quite ready to get rid of my iPhone all-together, I’m slowly getting there. ;)
