Make money doing the work you believe in

I grew up in Pittsburgh in the 70s and 80s. The sky at night glowed orange from the steel mills. It felt permanent. It wasn't. 95,000 jobs gone in three years. The city eventually came back. The people who lost the mills, mostly, did not.

This paper is, in part, my attempt to say: those people mattered. What happened to them mattered. And we can do better by the next generation of workers standing in the path of something they didn’t ask for and may not be able to stop.
