Like all of you, I woke up this morning to learn the US had removed Maduro from Venezuela. Here are a few thoughts:

1. Maduro was an illegitimate leader.

2. Regime change without a plan just as often as not produces a bad outcome.

3. Congress did not authorize this action nor was it informed it was even going to happen.

4. Giving one man the power to put servicemembers in harm’s way is a very dangerous idea.
