A Cornell psychologist finally put a number on something many of us have felt since the third “synergize our thought leadership” meeting of Q4. They built a corporate jargon generator, ran it past 1,000 office workers, and found that people most impressed by the nonsense also tended to struggle more with critical reasoning and rate their managers as visionary. The paper calls this a “negative feedback loop.” The rest of us might just call it a Tuesday.
