🚨 ICE DETENTION WHISTLEBLOWERS WERE THROWN INTO SOLITARY AFTER EXPOSING ABUSE
Women who released video documenting abuse inside ICE detention were immediately locked in solitary confinement in retaliation.
Before they were isolated, the women warned:
“They’re threatening us. They’re hitting us.”
Others inside now fear for the woman who exposed the abuse and say the retaliation has not silenced them.
“They’re killing us, but we have our voice.”
ICE detention officials responded to evidence of abuse by punishing the women who made it public. Solitary confinement became the weapon used to isolate them, cut them off from witnesses, and warn every other detained person what happens when they speak.
This is retaliation against women already trapped inside a system controlling their movement, safety, communication, and access to the outside world.
“Please help us.”
They exposed the violence. The detention system answered with more violence.
