Yes, he seems to think his operatives can throw the process into chaos and allow him to emerge on top. It’s not implausible, and he won’t be the first in living memory to do it. The Brooks Brothers rioters stopped the Florida count and managed to get a corrupt Supreme Court to keep it stopped, thereby installing a nitwit in the White House, which nitwit started two disastrous wars along with the usual Republican tax cuts and deregulation, and, to boot, delivered the worst worldwide financial meltdown since 1929.

However, I don’t think the chaos plan would keep Trump away from his rallies, which are one his favorite things in life. Maybe not quite as high on his list as lying, cheating, and stealing, and probably not nearly as high as abusing people, but quite high, regardless.

What I think keeps Trump away from rallies with his adoring fans is that he’s afraid. He’s afraid the next assassin won’t miss.
