Asana’s CPO says the release of Claude Apps represents a “fundamental shift” in how people use software.
In his view, the chat interface becomes the execution layer where you get tidbits of info like status updates and insights - and the core Asana product is where you leave the chat interface to dig deeper.
This could become the new standard UX pattern for apps who integrate into Claude’s MCP.
The risk for software companies, though, is that Claude copies the Amazon Store playbook and uses this data to learn more about which use cases and behaviors are Claude-native and then builds their own versions of those products.
