Google says its new Gemini-infused Sheets has achieved a record score of 70.4% on the SpreadsheetBench accuracy test.

Sheets now has an agent that can handle multi step tasks almost autonomously. You submit a request, the agent turns it into a step by step plan, you approve it, and then it executes everything while showing a live checklist and updating the spreadsheet in real time.

This is part of a major update to its Workspace products which also include changes to Docs and Slides.
