This was hidden away amongst some of the flashier announcements at Stripe Sessions last week, but Stripe’s product teams have built an API Documentation Design check tool.
It lets you paste in the URL to your product’s API docs and applies Stripe’s design principles to assess them.
Stripe is well known for its API docs design as a best-in-class leader and they are charging $2 per design for this (which is a little odd).
But this principle of taking your perceived competitive strengths and productizing them into mini-apps is a neat example of next-gen product marketing.
