Sad to say this, Andy, but it is not uncommon for the mother in a case of incest/rape/pedophilia to blame the child for the depredations of her husband/male partner.

It is also not uncommon for the mother to aid and abet in the actual rape, and to be the one who tries to make the child keep quiet.
