Whenever life gets tough for you,, remember the words of Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah as he consoled Omar ibn al-Khattab, saying,

Omar, take it easy, for it is only this world, days will pass, and we will move on. So do not grieve, for everything in it is tiring, and everyone in it is tiring. Praise be to Allah, it is neither our home nor our permanent abode, but merely a transient place we will leave. Praise be to Allah, it is a world that will pass, and perhaps we will find comfort and be comforted in Paradise. Here I am, for the true life is the life of the Hereafter.
