These four commitments, together, define what OpenClaw is at the architectural level: an agent whose identity, channels, attention, and capabilities are all plain-text artifacts the user owns and can directly edit.

Each is a commitment to a way of building that the rest of the AI agent industry has not made. Together they produce a system whose behavior is inspectable, whose extensions are portable, and whose integration with a user’s existing digital life requires no new UI to learn.
