It’s funny. The picture you get about living abroad from like 99.5% of the YouTube videos and newspaper articles (“These Americans Fled To Spain To Escape Trump!”) do nothing other than sensationalize and romanticize things that end up not mattering.

And that’s a tragedy.

These creators and—even worse—relocation consultants only talk about why you say you want to move and what the food will be like when you get there. They only discuss surface-level problems any adult has already dealt with in the course of a normal life.

Zero reflection on the social and psychological realities that actually impact your body and mind.
