Sometimes I still can’t believe we live here.

It’s crazy. I studied urban planning in San Francisco and, if there was an ongoing theme across everything we discussed, it was that even places like SF were always behind - and struggling to strive for - the urbanism of European cities. Because we knew that even the greatest American cities could never get there, there was always frustration.

It’s no surprise, then, that 20 years later, I’d end up in Valencia, Spain. If a place exemplifies everything we studied, this is it.
