After a year living in Spain, I didn’t quite make a resolution for 2026—more like a goal: start writing and publishing more about what’s happening in Europe.

I already write about life here—primarily on Substack—but there are so many interesting things happening in finance, particularly fintech. Contrary to popular belief on both sides of the Atlantic, Europe (the EU and the UK) isn’t behind the US. In many ways, it’s ahead—even light years ahead.

Today, I’m happy to share my first piece for the UK’s ETF Express on ETF adoption in Spain, which—somewhat paradoxically—lags.

I’m living and observing the experience, so I’m writing about it.
