In my first newsletter story post-Paris, I start to develop my thinking around why individual identity in America is so closely associated with work. Like I said, develop—I have to ways to go, ways that I will pursue this month. But I think the common arguments are a bit too simplistic and removed from the experience of day-to-day life.

I get into how I structured work last month in Paris. I didn’t work much, but April is the month that—so far—has yielded the most results in 2026.

All of this within in the context of nearly 1.5 years living in Spain.
