Make money doing the work you believe in

I honestly believe this happens at every point in our lives.

As a kid, you'd want to belong, want to mingle with the cool kids.

As a teen, peer pressure comes in and self-belonging goes out the window. You try to stay in rooms that don't quite fit you

As an adult, you'd desperately try to prove yourself, to show that you're trying and that you're also building, that you're not idle or unserious…

As a mid-lifer, you start to feel the exhaustion of the performance. You begin to prune your life, keeping only the people and habits that actually bring you peace, rather than prestige.

As an elder, I think this is the moment we'll realise it was all for nothing, that everybody's path is different, that some things aren't meant for us. At that moment we've lived and experienced life because no one really expects something from an elder. They are not trying to prove they are building, they only care about their legacy and to prove that their life mattered.
