Where I find trading ideas:
• Reddit: niche subs where some people share patterns, not the meme-filled ones.
• YouTube videos: 90% noise, 10% sparks of insight (filters, exits, regime logic).
• Podcasts: interviews often drop mental models or risk frameworks you can turn into tests.
• Books: classic trading books are full of ideas most people never bother to test systematically.
• Academic papers: my personal database of factor studies and anomalies… research worth adapting, not copying blindly.
(Btw, if you’re an annual subscriber you have access to my database with +100 trading strategies from academic papers)
Ideas are everywhere.
The real skill isn’t finding them it’s filtering and testing until you uncover something robust.
