Today, the Library of Congress officially opens The Source, a dazzling new gallery designed to show kids that research can be creative, tactile, and adventurous.

They can explore maps, films, broadcasts, photographs, recordings, posters, newspapers, and even giant card catalogs filled with treasures from the Library’s collection.

I visited before the opening and came away unexpectedly moved by the whole idea.
