Meh. I’ve been feeling under the weather today, and in moments like these, it’s easy to get swept up in the tide of bad news and helplessness. But instead of retreating, I found myself revisiting one of my ongoing research resources, and stumbled upon a ‘Tegenlicht’-episode featuring Donna Haraway of last December which I somehow had missed end of last year. I've been a follower of her thinking since her Cyborg Manifesto on science, technology, and socialist feminism in the 1980s. And it got me a bit less 'meh' instantly.

Her call to 'stay with the trouble' as a stategy has become so core to my beliefs and situated knowledges and therefore I am sharing it with you as this is a strong demand for more creativity and joy. Even (and maybe especially) in the midst of crisis.
If you like this, then make sure to tap on to the bit older but oh so cool documentary 'Story Telling for Earthly Survival' about Haraway by Fabrizio Terranova, see trailer here youtu.be/Msjp2pLZ6xE.
If you are not so under the weather, but more on top of the weather (then good for you!), consider to go to Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam to visit the exhibition FUNGI nieuweinstituut.nl/en/p…, (curated by anthropologist and writer Anna Löwenhaupt Tsing) and get yourself inspired on new ways of thinking, making, and living altogether; and while you are in Rotterdam you might as well go and check out the new pretty fabulous Nederlands Fotomuseum of course.
Have a good one this weekend!
