My husband is extremely surprised that 2,000 of you liked the note about the lunch he made me. He says ‘It’s nothing special.’ For him, this is so. But the context is the point.

People need hope. They need to know there are good men out there. Men who appreciate women and love to make them happy. A happy second marriage when the first one was a nightmare.

I’m surprised, too, at the 2K likes, but I guess this is hope on a plate.

In my first marriage, if I was unwell, my husband would double down on his cruelty. If I was hungry, but unable to fix myself food, he’d say, ´Get it yourself.’

25 years with my second husband. I’m currently unwell and when I asked him for a ryvita with brie plus some cheddar, apple and chorizo, he brings me this.
