Make money doing the work you believe in

ECO BOOK CLUBBERS! I’ve just started Gathering Moss, and I reckon I’ll give myself a month to read and write about it, so till the end of September. For those reading along, you can pick the same timeline or make it longer/shorter!

By the lofty heights of page 3, I am already thinking about an interesting discussion. Robin Wall Kimmerer writes about the way her family give names to familiar rocks: “each name calls up a story, and connects us to the past and present of this place every time we say it”

Q: How important is a name in nature? Think about the scientific name, the folk name, the family name. Can it help bring us closer to nature and understand it more? Can it help bring us as communities closer together in our shared naming?

Feel free to discuss, or keep this in mind as you read!
