Two weeks ago was our school’s spring break and y’all, the Swinarski family was not thriving. One daughter fell off the monkey bars and broke her wrist. The other had to get a hair bow cut out of her hair, it got so tangled in there. We didn’t have a dishwasher for ten days. We all had runny noses and coughs. There was jelly on every surface and coloring sheets in every corner and at one point I had not two, not three, but four baskets of laundry eagerly awaiting my hands. The weather was dreadful and the kids got more Clone Wars than they’ve ever had in their lives. The sight of that school bus come Monday was a joyful one—believe that.
