Make money doing the work you believe in

A wee bit of Polynesia at Rochdale Cooperative Fair, Manchester; home ground of Jennifer Reid, who can be seen singing Rochdale dialect ballads in the third photo. Bring out the banners! The hand in the last photo belongs to one of the embroiderers: she is pointing to a cotton boll. The Mayor embroidered the martlet (the brown bird at the top)— she has stitched it wearing the Mayoral chains. The bee is the symbol of Manchester, & the beehive the symbol of the Cooperative— hard work & collectivism.
