-Nominate up to 11 bloggers.

☀️

1. If you had to include one name in all of your stories, what name would you pick?

Cairo.

2. You can save one book from being adapted. Which is it?

Calvin and Hobbes.

3. Have you ever traveled to a place to do research before you wrote about it? Where was it?

No, but I wrote Central Park as a location in one of my earlier projects. When I actually saw Central Park years later, I realized I’d have to rewrite it. It was highly different from what I’d imagined.

4. What’s your favorite type of chocolate to find in an assortment?

The crunchy ones, the chocolate biscuits. They don’t seem as popular either, so less competition(!!).

5. You’re stranded on a desert island. Which book do you use to start a fire?

Anything by Charles Brockden Brown.

6. Best read of this year so far?

Honestly? The libretto for Lerner and Loewe’s Camelot.

7. What's your favorite soup on a cold day?

Matzoh ball + chicken.

8. If you could rewrite any book, which one would it be and why?

Honestly? The libretto for Lerner and Loewe’s Camelot. It’s a fantastic read, but it’s a bit long and meandering for an actual musical.

9. What book has been on your to-be-read list the longest?

Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton. Three years later and still 2/3 of the way through…I’ll finish it eventually.

10. Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?

I believe it was overshadowed by the tragedy of Darth Jar Jar Binks.

11. Not really a question but give a heartfelt compliment to someone on Substack.

Hello again to William E. - very happy to have made your acquaintance while spending time here on Substack.

Your profile rings true: you have, indeed, made history exciting. Your notes are also very fun. I’ve learned a lot of Northwest history from you.
