Resurrection Prayer II: “Lord of Rebirth”

(Ephesians 1:15-23)

Enlighten the eyes of my heart, O Lord,

Awaken in me Thy revelation.

Fasten my soul on eternal reward,

Stir up within me Thy recreation.

Thou art the inheritance of the saints,

The overflow of greatness in vessels

weak. Thou spillest forth pow’r in lowly place—

Thy might and mercy, the sinner, consoles.

The Son of Thy power, the Seed of Thy

life, surrendered to meekness—sacrifice.

Now Thou hast raised Him to Heav’n on high,

Soon He’ll gather His saints, in paradise.

‘Til then all the power in Heaven and Earth,

Belong to Thy Son—Lord of my rebirth.
