I was a bit underwhelmed by the launch and the design of On’s LN1 Cloudmonster. The guest creative director is Mental Athletic, the hard-to-define collective of cool runner guys from Italy.

They look nice, but it doesn’t feel special for LN1 which is their energy play in the performance running space. This is supposed to be drumming up hype!

I am expecting a much larger announcement than this blog post that was not publicized beyond their website. On’s Lane 1 is their answer to Nike’s recent collaborations and the Nike Running Specialty Group that I mentioned in Issue #71.
