In cycling, there’s been a death of the specialized bike. There use to be ultra light climbing bikes and then aero bikes. Aero bikes were heavier but faster, less drag.

That doesn’t really exist anymore. The aero bikes now are super light, the all-arounders are converging towards them. Tech has caught up where you don’t need to choose.
