Really looking forward to chatting with Ashley Riley tomorrow for the podcast.
Ashley has used the power of parkrun to counter what he calls a bone-crushing anxiety that saw him transformed from an outgoing and confident middle-aged man into someone racked by panic attacks.
At one point, Ashley even entered psychiatric care and suffered two strokes as a result of debilitating depression.
Today Ashley, via his male mental health support group Blue Soul Shoes, shares his story regularly, in an honest, frank and open way to businesses and groups - and I can’t wait for you to hear it too.
Part of his journey has been discovering parkrun, which has played a deeply meaningful part in his recovery. These days, he runs every week with his 11-year-old son Teddy… although he’s increasingly struggling to keep up!
Our full chat with Ashley will be available in early April, so keep an eye out here for updates - or subscribe to Running Tales on Apple, Spotify or YouTube to never miss another episode.
