You're burning through your Claude subscription because you're running Opus at max effort on everything. Don't do that.

Switch models. Type /models. Use Sonnet or Haiku for simple tasks. Save Opus for the hard stuff.

Use "ultrathink" for one-off problems, not all day.

Clear your context often. A bloated conversation makes Claude worse, not better.

Install context-mode from GitHub. It cuts MCP token usage by 50-90%. I use it daily.

And if a CLI exists (like GitHub's), use it over MCP. Faster and cheaper.
