A library that offends nobody is an empty library. That’s kind of the whole deal. Once you remove every book with a sharp angle, word, or idea that prickles someone’s skin, you won’t have anything left on the shelves. Libraries are MEANT to be places that hold lots of ideas, and those ideas will ALWAYS be in conflict. That’s the whole damn point of the thing. No good library will ever be so bland as to not offend a soul. The only inoffensive library is the library that’s been gutted to shit.
