As a practitioner turned academic, I look for high level discussions that seek to communicate the depth of knowledge is East Asian traditional medicines (EATM). Much of this work has been done by people in the humanities and practitioners of the medicine. Discussions such as this one are serving as a bridge to bring this knowledge into current medical discussions, not by translating into modern biomedical terminology, but by conserving the wisdom within and presenting collaborations through plural epistemologies.
