I do not claim Nahuatl lineage. I share this with the greatest respect for indigenous cultures. I myself am a mostly Celtic lass and pay homage to the Earth-honoring spirituality of my ancestral homelands (especially Ireland). However, growing up adopted, I was not raised with traditions that connect to my bloodline. I have a small amount of Tewa blood on my birthfather’s side.

The concepts expressed in this beautiful prayer are universal for all people.
