I love a picnic, especially a ferry-picnic that whiles away an otherwise fairly dull journey. This travel-feast of homemade sausage rolls (with bacon, minced pork and fennel seeds, yum!), mango & avocado salsa, prawns and M&S tortilla chips (+ metal beakers of warming red wine) was in honour of my son returning home after 3 months in Switzerland. He’s craving a proper English roast with all the trimmings, but as his flight didn’t touch down til late, this had to do in the interim.
