Dad has settled into his new home in record time. He received 5-star treatment when he arrived.
He has a fabulous room with a little patio, en suite bathroom, and a very comfortable bed.
One of the managers brought him a cappuccino while I fed him chocolate cake.
“How are you finding it, Dad?”
“Most pleasant.”
“It’s your holiday at home.”
“It is rather.”
He’s already cleaned his teeth himself and started grabbing the fork from my hands.
I’m so relieved. We drive away, wearing broad smiles.
Dad believes he’s on holiday at home. I can’t think of a better way for him to spend this chapter of his life.
What a blessing!
