I am not a poet nor do I write poetry like imarkanx || istvan markan 🍁 , Carlos M. , Gabriela B. , Izabella 💌 are. Once in a blue moon I cut a thought or two. But it requires a special way of looking at the world and how you experience and interpret it. I am more an essayist. Poets are struck by things, a flash of perception that demands to be captured. Essayists are puzzled by things, something nags at them until they write their way to understanding it. Not to say that an essayist cannot be deeply poetic. Think James Baldwin.

A poet looks at things and says “look at this.” An essayist says “let me tell you what I think about this.”
