11:FS After Dark was worth attending. I got a closer look at what’s coming next in fintech.

One of the interesting signals: Backbase is working on a new AI-native operating system for banks (keeping this semi-off the record).

Caught up with some of the partners I am working with — Clément, Don, and Ayelen from Formance, who are rethinking the ledger layer for modern finance. Also met Tim, CMO at Backbase, and of course Ghali and Leonardo, who are building payments for AI agents at Ralio.

The pace of development in fintech is accelerating fast. And London increasingly feels like the center of gravity for it.
