Hello, world! I’m finally surfacing from a mountain of ungraded essays and laundry to officially introduce myself.
If you’re looking for a profile that’s polished, serene, and "aesthetic," you might be in the wrong corner of the internet. But, if you enjoy a life fueled by caffeine and a very specific brand of murder and mayhem you are in the right place.
By day, I am a teacher, which mostly involves convincing teenagers that history didn't actually happen in black and white. By night, I am a mother—the CEO of snacks and the ultimate arbiter of who "touched who first."
In the quiet moments in between? I write.
My brain is a permanent resident of the past, specifically the parts involving murder, mayhem, and historical scandals. I’m a firm believer that the best stories are the ones where someone ended up in a tower or a shallow grave, and I spend my free time documenting exactly how they got there.
What to Expect Here:
The Writer’s Life: Snippets of the draft I'm currently wrestling with and the books currently taking up permanent residence on my nightstand.
History Deep-Dives: Random facts about historical villains that are far too dark for the classroom.
Murder & Mystery: A look at the darker side of the archives, where I trade lesson plans for plot points and explore the most creative ways people have departed the planet.
I’m here for the books, the blood (the fictional kind, mostly), and the beautiful mess of trying to do it all.
Just don’t ask to look at my search history.
