This week the biggest tech worker union in the US grew to 8,400 members.

University of California IT staff voted to join an existing contract that gives them the right to collectively bargain over how AI is introduced in their workplace. Before management rolls out a new AI tool, the people who maintain the system get a vote on it. Almost every other AI rollout I read about goes the opposite way.
