Lol Jonathan!
I’m not quitting. I was giving you a chance to take the high road and to end this (very tedious) conversation on civil terms.
But, once again with you!, the exit to the high road is not taken and you - arbiter of civility on the web - end up personally and randomly insulting people who are trying to keep the conversation to substance.
I’m very surprised that you, of all people, would bring the Constitution and legal standards into the argument since you’re the one who all along has been contending that we’re in the private sphere and the First Amendment has no role to play.
Of course “incitement to violence” is the legal standard! It’s the legal standard because Substack is a private corporation and those are its binding terms of use. If you want to have this enormous, destructive debate about whether Substack is abiding by its standards of discourse or not, then it might make sense to start with what its actual standards are.
None of that is my subjective opinion! - and that’s maybe your most misdirected haymaker of all. The “incitement to violence” standard is from Substack’s contract, which I am helpfully screenshotting for you.
Once again, I’ll be here for any other abuse you want to randomly hurl in my direction!
