Make money doing the work you believe in

my fellow britstacker Nigel Farage has made his debut on here with a ten thousand word essay on structural discrimination against white people. more immigrants failing to adapt to the local culture. if you’re going to come here we need your take on the serpent in the grove nigel, tell some sex stories but make it vaguely literary, let’s see some stacks of paperbacks, let’s see your opinions about people who get mfas, i wanna see some undirected fucking musings nigel, muse for me or get out of my face. but i guess he’s integrating into a certain population here because his essay on structural discrimination against white people capitalised the “w” in “white” throughout, and just the other day i had some people on this godawful platform inform me that ordinary phrases actually expose my unconscious bias against white people, the whole of language is riddled with discriminatory and othering terms that must be ripped up to avoid doing violence to white people, and there’s no such thing as neutrality in a media environment that’s so freighted with structural discrimination against white people, so if you try being neutral or race-blind you’ll end up complicit in the structures of anti-whiteness that keep white people from flourishing in this country. everyone gets to do this now, everyone gets to poison themselves with resentment, everyone gets to be the righteous victim, everyone can makes limitless demands on other people from their position of ethnic grievance. in a way i should be glad my political enemies are talking like this, because every movement that adopts this kind of hysterical posture will inevitably end up being very embarrassing to everyone who participated in it after a few years. but those years are going to be very boring, and once they’re done i’m not convinced some other group won’t just pick up the victim ball and start running with it. we never learn; absolutely nobody in the entirety of human history has ever learned.
