The Federal government will have spent substantially less on contracts to small businesses on a percentage basis in Fiscal Year 2025 (which ended two weeks ago) than in the prior year. Small-business contract dollars as a percentage of overall contract dollars is trending about 1.5 percentage points less than FY24. Final results aren’t available until about mid-January because of data lags.
