How can we start the process of properly exploring what an education system for the new world we are all starting to come to terms with might be? I don’t mean knee jerk “21st century skills” - but equally I think we have to acknowledge that to pretend we can just stay as we are for ever is madness. Maybe the new might be anti-technological - handwriting and physical books only - but it still needs to exist in relationship with a very different world outside the school gates.
As a sector we have a bad habit of making everything about answers. I have no idea what mine is, or what I’ll say about this in two year’s time. Right now though it seems essential we don’t just bury our heads in the sand.
