One of the things I am very conscious of in the discussion is the significance of male role models. I’m quite aware of this with the kids I teach and with my own children. I try (and I’m sure often fail) to model the right behaviours to them. But at the back of my mind I hold my own role models, and I’m very clear they are not all men. And maybe that could be quite helpful.
