Make money doing the work you believe in

“Ideas have consequences” and “theology matters” = true.

“Sinful behavior is always because of a wrong belief.” = false.

Do not automatically attribute a person’s moral failing to their worldview. Three reasons:

1) People are not idea machines. We are affective creatures who love things we nonetheless know we should not love.

2) This assumption sets people up for long term frustration in their Christian life. “I’ve studied all the right doctrines, I know the answers, so why am I still struggling?”

3) For every 1 person whose immmoral behavior seems obviously to you to be connected to their bad ideas, there are 10 other people who have ideas you agree with yet nonetheless live immorally. If you’re committed to the bad behavior —> bad ideas genetic fallacy, you will just train yourself to ignore those cases.
