Pick one subject. That’s your major for the next couple years.
Then attach a long-term creative intellectual project to it, so as to force yourself to study it deeply, acquire genuine expertise, and challenge yourself intellectually. That’s your ongoing capstone project, as well as your self-testing and accountability mechanism.
For example, if you love philosophy and want to self-learn it, you could create a newsletter where you explore 1 big philosophical idea every week.
No activity has helped me deepen my understanding of Autodidactism, my random-ass interdisciplinary major, more than writing about it online.
