Daily Walk Diary — January 14
That whole “there’s no bad weather, only bad clothing” thing doesn’t mean you want to go out. I have a Gortex coat with a good hood that mostly keeps my glasses dry, but today was a day I didn’t want to walk, didn’t go out in the sprinkly rain and the grayness.
I ran into a friend at the market and said I was heading out on my walk from there.
“Not a nice day for it. So rainy!”
“Every day is every day.”
I say every day because I don’t always feel like it, but I almost always feel better after I do. Today I felt less sluggish after I walked along what feels like the backside of the river that runs through town, noting where I stood opposite a route I often drive, listening to the sound of running water and car traffic mingling.
I didn’t feel like walking today, but I did. It was good to get out.
What gets you out when you don’t feel like it?
