there are always going to be people who don’t understand you.

who think you’re too much. you’re goofy. you’re too messy. you’re too ambitious (yes, I had a boss say this to me once).

they don’t see the world the way you see it. something about you threatens them. maybe it sparks something in them they wish they had.

screw ‘em. the quicker you stop dialing down who you are to appease others and let your freak flag fly, the sooner you will connect to the other freaks who love you for all those traits the others don’t understand.
