My husband just got his LEGO minifigures out for the kids to look at and I heard him tell them, “And this is the bard.”

I went to have a look, as any English lit nerd would. Surprised at his wife’s sudden interest in LEGO, he began showing me his collection.

I said, “Okay, I just want to see The Bard.”

He showed me, and I said, “Oh. This is just a bard.”

“What were you expecting?” he said.

“The Bard. Shakespeare.”

I’m sad to report that my husband does not, in fact, own a Shakespeare minifigure.
