Nobody knows what will happen next, but this is the “dark horse” landing site I think is plausible. It would be like “Da Nang” in Vietnam in 1965. The losses on that landing were nil. For Chabahar they would be light since the naval base and airport were already heavily bombarded. The follow-on losses are unlikely to be light.
The result was an eight-year war that the NVA won.
